Leave your harbours... Twain and Da Gama

Our man comandeered one of the first ships to sail directly from Europe to India - he left Lisbon in July, 1497 and after many a twist and turn reached Calicut (in India) in May, 1498.

This is his tomb in Jeronomis Monastery in Belem, Lisbon.
Centuries later, Mark Twain remarked, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbo(u)r. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover"

That is what we all should do. Life is too short.
